IU Southeast Staff Council
The IU Southeast Staff Council represents all non academic staff—anyone whose primary role is not designated as faculty or student and who is employed on the IU Southeast campus. As a collective voice for staff, the Council works to strengthen communication, foster collaboration, and advocate for the needs and perspectives of our diverse campus community. During this rebuilding year, we are refreshing our bylaws, re examining our structure, and redefining how we can best support and represent staff across every department, shift, and role.
All staff, as defined, are considered constituents of Staff Council and are encouraged to participate by attending meetings, proposing agenda items, and joining in Council sponsored events that help build community and connection across campus. Voting members—those who volunteer to serve for a one year term—help guide this work through regular meeting participation, committee service, and leadership opportunities. We aim for broad representation from across the university and welcome involvement from employees on all shifts. Explore the tabs above to learn more about our bylaws, committees, officers, and upcoming events.
Meetings
Staff Council meets regularly on the third Thursday of each month, and all staff members are encouraged to attend. These meetings provide an open forum for sharing ideas, discussing concerns, and staying informed about initiatives that support our campus community. Any employee may submit an item for consideration on the meeting agenda. To propose an agenda item, please send your suggeastion to the Staff Council at sestaff@iu.edu.
Events
Staff Council hosts a viariety of special events throughout the year to celebrate, connect, and show appreciation for our campus community. New events can be suggested at any time by emailing sestaff@iu.edu.
